About
The UT Austin Disability Cultural Center (DCC) is the first of its kind in Texas.
As the hub on campus for disability community, education and advocacy, the DCC provides a space where disability is respected, valued and celebrated as an important part of our campus community, Whether you’re looking for community, attending an event, learning about disability culture, exploring disability art and culture or need a quiet place to read or study, the DCC is for you
Located in the Student Services Building (SSB), 100 West Dean Keeton Street, Suite 2.106, the DCC suite contains a lounge area for studying and socializing, the DCC library, a rotating art exhibit, staff offices and a conference room for hosting trainings, programs and events. All members of our campus community are welcome to come visit or use the DCC space!

Fall 2025 Hours
Tuesdays-Wednesdays: 1-5 p.m.
Thursdays: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Check the hours before stopping by, as the schedule will change by semester.
Parking and Location
To get to the Disability Cultural Center, take the elevator, escalator or stairs to the 2nd floor of the SSB. Go past the UHS Allergy, Immunization and Travel Clinic on the south side of the building. The main entrance to the DCC is on the west side of the 2nd floor and has a frosted glass door with an automatic door button.
Parking
The closest parking garage is the 27th Street Garage (TSG). Metered parking is also available along Wichita on the east side of the SSB. See the Parking and Transportation Services website for more information. ADA parking is also available in the parking garages and surface lots on the north side of the SSB.
Public Transportation
The area around SSB is a major public transportation hub for Austin. There are many city buses and UT Shuttles that stop near our doors. Please check out www.capmetro.org to plan your trip! Use the SSB’s street address: 100 West Dean Keeton Street.
Reserving the Space
Want to reserve the DCC space for an event, program or activity? Please use our sponsorship form to submit your request. Requests should be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of the proposed event or need.

Conference Room: Up to 15 people
